Job Description:

Its project portfolio includes nearly three million acres of working forestland representing every region and major forest type from the Appalachians to coastal Alaska.

 

 

About the Role

 

We are seeking a CORE Carbon Operations Analyst to assist in the development of Finite's expanding portfolio of forest offset projects. This role, reporting to the Director of Landowner Relations, involves guiding landowners through the CORE Carbon enrollment process and providing them with support along the way.

 

 

What You'll Do

 

- Guide users through onboarding on the CORE Carbon online platform, including account setup, project definition, and program enrollment.

- Conduct detailed site analysis eligibility reviews based on legal documentation and remote forest inventories, along with other spatial data.

- Maintain a thorough understanding of program rules and methodologies, making recommendations accordingly.

- Address user support requests concerning CORE platform navigation, site setup, submission, and general information flow.

- Communicate with landowners and foresters to address questions, concerns, or necessary modifications before site approval.

- Develop and maintain internal technical documentation and user assistance tools, such as presentations, webinars, help content, and video tutorials.

- Prepare and deliver high-quality documentation, written reports, maps, and any necessary data and materials for contracts.

Qualifications:

- A bachelorโ€™s degree in forestry or natural resource management; other degrees will be considered with 3-5 years of relevant experience in forest carbon, forest operations, conservation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle difficult questions with composure, as you will represent Finite Carbon to landowners and foresters.

- Proactive, patient, and motivated to learn new things without close supervision.

- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage time efficiently while handling multiple tasks, and a preference for clear communication with internal and external partners.

- Proficiency in geospatial tools such as ESRIโ€™s ArcPro or QGIS, as well as Microsoft Office products, project management tools, and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Nice to Haves

- Customer service experience supporting new users of a technology platform.

- Exposure to real estate deeds or similar ownership legal documents.

- Familiarity with Google Earth Engine.

- Experience with forest carbon offset protocols.

- SAF accreditation and/or ACF membership.
