DAVEY RESOURCE GROUP, a Division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, has opportunities in the field of Traditional Forestry, as a Fuels Management FORESTER. Davey is a leader in the tree care, utility line clearing and forestry consulting industries, throughout the US and Canada.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: San Bernadino - California
Job Duties: Working with Fuel Reduction Project on small acreage. Inspect property, flag boundaries, mark trees on private property; Identify tree and brush control work.; Notify/recruit property owners of program and potential work for their property.
Qualifications:
Two or Four year degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture or related discipline; Ability to identify local tree species and knowledge of growth rates; ISA Certified Arborist a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with the public; Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather; Working knowledge of computers; Ability to read and follow maps; Ability to work independently; Ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle. Specific task training provided. Leadership experience and a desire for career growth will be given a priority.
