Fish sampling to monitor population trends and movement in response to habitat improvements and increased connectivity from the removal of several culverts. Field work in northern Nevada (out of Boise, ID office).
Qualifications:
Excellent physical condition, able to hike long distances with heavy equipment, experience with 4WD driving, GPS and map navigation skills, ability to trouble shoot equipment problems, attention to detail with data collection, and ability to work independently and well with others. Fisheries background including electro-shocking experience a must; experience with Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) tagging is highly desirable. The field season will run August – beginning of Oct.
Salary:
$2000/month + $20 per diem for work days
