Description:Teaching and research in forest and natural resources policy
• Teach and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
• Establish a nationally/internationally recognized research program studying problems in forest and natural resource policy design and implementation; possible areas of emphasis include non-industrial private forest landowners, commercial and non-commercial land ownership changes, forest conservation, resource protection and enforcement, regulatory policy and governance, ecosystem restoration and services, or international resource exploitation and management. The person appointed will be expected to attract and mentor graduate students, acquire extramural research funding, and publish research results in high-quality refereed research journals.
• Participate in university governance and outreach activities
Location: Blacksburg
Qualifications: Ph.D. in a forest policy-related field required Ph.D. in forest or natural resource economics preferred B.S. degree or one degree in forestry desirable
