Description:This is a 12-month tenure track faculty position (65% extension/35% research) jointly administered by the Departments of Poultry Science and Biological and Agricultural Engineering. The individual selected for this position will be expected to provide leadership in developing educational and applied research programs to assist poultry processors and other agricultural processing facilities in managing waste water treatment, water conservation and processing plant environmental issues. The programs developed will be directed to specific issues related to improving efficiencies in poultry processing waste treatment as well as helping processors meet the challenges of compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.

Qualifications: PhD in Poultry Science, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science or related field is required. Public Service and experience working with agricultural processing or wastewater treatment facilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of, or strong interest in, working with poultry processors on programs related to waste treatment and environmental issues is required. The selected individual must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with industry and academic audiences. The selected individual will be expected to obtain extramural funding to support applied research, problem solving, and extension education activities.
