Description:The Environmental Resource Center is seeking an energetic and
creative person to serve as its Education Coordinator. The
Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing a new nature
learning center education project, focusing and furthering the ERC's
environmental education goals, expanding the ERC's residential
EcoCamp, managing select education-related programs and working to
involve youth in environmental efforts and more!

The Education Coordinator is responsible for defining educational
programs that will achieve the defined goals. The Coordinator must be
skilled at planning and implement large projects and possess a keen
sense for details without losing sight of the larger strategic
vision. The Coordinator will also help to identify funding needs and
potential sources to support education programs and their expansion.
The Coordinator will establish individual education program budgets
and will be responsible for their programmatic evaluation.

Duties

*Develops program goals that further the ERC's education mission.

*Plan and implement a grant-funded project to create a mobile natural
learning center

*Drafts work plans to accomplish education goals.

*Coordinates all aspects of planning and implementation for delegated
educational projects.

*Coordinates with fundraising staff members to ensure that adequate
funding exists to support the programs.

*Able to lead and inspire "kids" of all ages when teaching the ERC's
environmental education classes.

*Manages volunteers to assist, when necessary and appropriate, in
program implementation, including but not limited to advisory
committees on education.

*Evaluates each delegated program to ensure compliance with and
assess value to the ERC's mission.

Qualifications: Requirements *Bachelor's or advanced degree, preferably in environmental education or 3 years successful experience working in an environmental, education or other related field. *Demonstrated ability to develop and address strategic priorities. Attention to detail and ability to organize and manage diverse activities, set priorities, and remain flexible under pressure. *Excellent and demonstrated organizational and project management skills. Ability to set priorities, manage time, budget, work under pressure and manage multiple projects/deadlines efficiently. *Ability to work independently and efficiently with a minimum of supervision. *Ability to actively problem-solve using sound judgment and critical thinking. *Passion to the mission and goals of the ERC and a desire to be a team player.
