The Animal Programs Internship Program is accepting applications for 2008 summer interns. All internships are unpaid and interns are expected to work for a total of 480 hours. These hours may be met by working 5 days per week for 12 weeks, 4 days per week for 15 weeks or 3 days per week for 20 weeks. Interns work with our trainers to learn about husbandry, training, and education as the Animal Programs Department encompasses all of those areas. Some of the responsibilities of interns include cleaning, food preparation, assisting with classroom and outreach programs, animal observations, daily presentations, assisting with enrichment, and observing or assisting in training sessions.
