Job Description:The Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center, Davie, FL in conjunction with USGS and USFWS is currently seeking a full time GIS specialist to participate in developing, managing, coordinating, and implementing a Geographic Information System (GIS) to assist in evaluating impacts to the Everglades ecosystem due to changes in water hydrology, water quality, and land use. Duties include analyzing and modeling spatially referenced data. The GIS specialist will be expected to participate in preparing proposals, project reports, and refereed publications.

Qualifications:. Applicant should have at least a bachelor’s degree, but a masters or doctoral degree is preferred.

Salary:Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a 2 year position with renewal dependent on performance and funding. Position available immediately and open until filled.
