The Wildlife Resources Division, Fisheries Management Section announces a vacancy for a Fisheries Program Regional Supervisor in its Region 7 Richmond Hill office. It is anticipated that this position will be filled and effective March 1, 2008.

Job Responsibilities
Region-wide responsibilities for this position include: supervision of planning and implementing scientific studies and development projects; supervision of technical assistance and environmental reviews; supervision of the development and operation of public fishing areas, boating access areas, and other facilities; preparation and administration of the regional budget and federal aid program and its documentation requirements; supervision of aquatic education and information communication; recommendation of laws and regulations; supervision of recruitment and training; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of professional experience at a level equivalent to a Fisheries Biologist 2 OR four years of professional experience at a level equivalent to a Fisheries Biologist 1 OR six years of professional experience at a level equivalent to a Fisheries Technician 4 AND completion of an undergraduate degree in wildlife or fisheries management or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications plus
1) Completion of a masters degree in Fisheries Management AND two years of experience at a level equivalent to Senior Fisheries Biologist
2) Preference may be given to current Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division Fisheries Management employees.

Entry Level Salary
$4,347.71 monthly/Pay Grade 19

Note: Starting salary will depend on qualifications and current salary of selected candidate.
