Description: Larson & McGowin is looking for an entry level GIS Technician to provide support in Mobile, Alabama office.

Responsibilities will include the development of spatial data, maps and other deliverables in support of the company’s forestry and natural resource related projects.

Qualifications: Applicant should have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Geography or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Applicant must have a demonstrable knowledge and experience with ESRI ArcMap 9.x, and familiarity with imagery and the Microsoft Office suite. Strong customer services and communication skills are required, as is the ability to excel in a fast paced working environment while working under deadline constraints on multiple simultaneous and varied data development projects. Ideal candidate will have one or more years of demonstrated experience in the following areas: • The forestry and natural resources field • ArcGIS Desktop suite • GIS editing • Development of GIS data using a variety of techniques (georeferencing, COGO, GPS) • Land records and deeds • Cartography
