One M.S. assistantship is available to conduct research on current and potential demand for recreation on private land by urban dwellers in the southeastern United States. Current recreational behavior on public and private lands and the benefits that recreationists obtain will also be examined. Private lands have been suggested as a potential resource for alleviating demand pressures on scarce southeastern public lands.
