Contract position with U.S. Army: 6 to 12 month position with
possibility of extension.
Who we are looking for: Professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic,
ambitious and self motivated with a background in forestry,
wildlife/endangered species, ecosystem, and/or environmental policy.
Prefer someone with MS degree.
Salary is negotiable.
Job Description: Serves as a team member responsible for carrying out
planning, advisory, reviewing, and procedural development duties
associated with management of the Army's Natural Resource Program within the Southeast Region, to include forestry, endangered species management and ESA compliance, conservation easements and leases adjacent to Army installations, fish & wildlife, wetlands, erosion control and ecosystems management.
Plans, prioritizes and tracks natural resource projects. Develops,
maintains and distributes standardized procedures for the conduct of the Army Natural Resources Program. Initiates and conducts assistance visits at active Army installations within the Southeast. Assists installations in coordinating and negotiating with regulatory agencies on natural resource matters.
Area of Operation: Based at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia. Supports 20 Army installations within the States of GA, FL, MS, AL, NC, SC, TN, and KY.
