Description:FIELD TECHNICIANS - Two positions available to assist Ph.D. student
with seabird research in Charleston County, South Carolina, from 1 May to 15 August 2008 (dates somewhat flexible). This project focuses on habitat
use, nest success, physiology, and diet of brown pelicans, black
skimmers and terns.
Responsibilities will include capture and measurement of adults
and nestlings, behavioral observations, nest censuses, habitat use
surveys, and prey collection. In addition, assistance with vehicle,
boat and equipment maintenance, and data entry is required. Previous
experience with seabirds, motorboat operation, and kayaking is desired, but not required.
Salary: $8.50/hr, 40 hrs/week, housing provided.
