Description:JOB FUNCTION: Goss Woodyard team member. Responsibilities include all
aspects of woodyard operations to include scaling, storage, maintenance,
reload of pulpwood and chip lab sampling to support the Eastover Paper
Mill.
REPORTS TO: Fiber Specialist
LOCATION: Eastover Paper Mill – Eastover, SC
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Commitment to work safely. Follow safety rules & requirements
and consistently demonstrate safe behaviors & attitude.
• Must have valid drivers license.
• Must be able to operate & maintain equipment including
knuckleboom loader, tractor, dump truck, man lift, and other log
handling equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively anticipate and diagnose
problems and to perform mechanical maintenance on yard equipment & wet
log storage systems.
• Proficient using computers, applicable software and operation of
scales. Perform routine administrative functions including ability to
accurately and efficiently update & maintain routine scalehouse and chip
lab reports.
• Ability to work effectively within a self-directed team
framework. Demonstrates interpersonal skills that enhance the team
approach to work and problem solving.
• Ability to interact effectively with suppliers, logging
contractors & truck drivers.
• Willing to perform other duties and responsibilities as required
including physical woodyard inventory measurement and fiber fuel quality
checks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including unscheduled
overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel to and work at other IP locations when
needed.

Qualifications: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience working with heavy equipment & a demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
