Description:Summary:
This position works collaboratively with the Research Unit Team to achieve
financial goals and desired outcomes. Responsible for effectively
merchandizing trees to their highest value under a delivered wood system
and providing compliance for stumpage sales where required. Additionally,
supports Timber Marketing Manager in tactical harvest scheduling, timber
sale design, preparation and execution and the development of marketing
plan that maximizes timber revenues for the Resource Unit. Responsible for
logistics among and between delivered log operations. Work collaboratively
with the other member of the Timber Marketing and Resource Team. Achieve
market excellence through development of strategic customer
relationships/partnerships, and understanding the value chain through
collection of market intelligence.

Qualifications: Requirements: Equivalent Education Required: B.S. degree in forestry or equivalent experience. Experience Required: Degreed Forester or five years of forestry experience with exposure to stumpage sales/delivered wood systems without a degree. Knowledge Required: Competent in technical forestry skills. Must have a basic understanding of regional market dynamics. Working knowledge of land management practices. Working knowledge of environmental law related to forestry. Good judgment and common sense are essential. Must have basic understanding of and be able to operate a personal computer (MS Office).
