Description:Position Info: This Investment Forester position is based out of Atlanta, GA. Extensive travel to Brazil is expected between 30% and 45%. Country travel within Brazil is required. Candidates must be bilingual-fluent in Portuguese and English.

Areas of Responsibility:
-Develop property specific management and budget plans in alignment with property/portfolio strategy.
-Implement property strategy through vendors and forestry consultants and contract with and manage consulting foresters.
-Review and supervise all property management recommendations, with consultants having primary field supervision responsibility.
-Conduct periodic tract inspections to ensure adherence to contractual and quality standards.
-Review, approve, and process property management expenses.
-Respond to requests for information and assistance regarding property related issues, and resolve disputes related to individual tracts that arise from outside sources.
-Assist with property acquisitions and dispositions as required.

Qualifications: Education, Experience and Skills: -Bachelor’s degree in Forestry is required with an MBA or advanced degree in forestry or finance preferred. -5+ years experience in some combination of forestry operations, client services, and finance is required. Brazilian forestry experience is strongly preferred. -Experience with forest products industry, timberland investment management, forestry consulting, or investment management is required. -A working knowledge of Brazilian environmental, business, tax, and labor laws and regulations is preferred. -Portuguese oral and written skills is required.
